Engineer's Engine Ear

This is our entry for the RWTH Summer gamejam 2026! 

ENGINEER'S ENGINE EAR

We misheard the topic and went for "Trust me, I'm an engine ear!". You play as the engineer's ENGINEEAR. Try to get the highest score by travelling the farthest and collecting the most earwax while overcoming the obstacles in your way and managing your ear-infection.

Keep your balance and collect earwax on the way to buy Items at the shops!

INTERFACE:

SHOPS:

Mechanic: The local engineers have seen your situation and are willing to change your earrings or upgrade your ear for some waxy compensation. The different earrings will change your movement and make your survival a whole lot easier. 

HNO: The Hals-Nasen-Ohren doctors will help you in exchange for your earwax! Buy q-tips or ear spray to fight your infection.

Obstacles (be quick):

Puddle: Landing in a puddle can fill the engineear with water. If you can't shake it out in time, it will affect your balance and hearing!

Airpods: Be careful of the birds throwing airpods at you! They're blasting music you just HAVE to move to!

Cylinder Failure: Even a good engineear has to fix their cylinders once in a while. Select them in the correct order!

Stone: Just jump over it? What else would you do.. 

Ear Cleaning: Clean yourself using a q-tip (trust us, we are doctors)

CONTROLS:

W/S: Drive forwards/backwards 

A/D: Tilt left/right

X: Interact with HNOs/Mechanics shop

Mouse/scroll: Needed for the quicktime events

This game was made by Alex, Roman, Felix and Christoph! All the graphics have been pixeled by us. Many of the sounds are also crafted by us :)
Its our first time using godot and for 3/4 of us its the first game jam so we're very happy with the result! 
 Any "bugs" you find are actually just features in disguise. They are part of our creative expression and definitely not a skill issue on our part.
